As the Woman’s day is closer, we would like to recall the history and present you the real gem…all those women who have set an example to every other person in this world.
Being a brand that represent and focus only on woman’s outfits, The Citrine is taking initiative to write this post so that every woman in this world feel special and know her real strength.
A most famous woman of 20th Century. Mother Theresa originally named Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu was born in 1910 in Skopje, Macedonia. She left Ireland in 1928 and started learning english. Eventually she was sent as a missionary to India to teach at the Loreto convent school in Calcutta. There she started working socially for India’s poorest half a million citizen. She extablished many Missionaries of Charity, AIDS hospices, and charity centers worldwide and sooner became a nobel example for all other non-profit organizations across the world. She was a nobel prize winner and dedicated her entire life working for poor and physically ill people.
She has set an example with her generosity and kind work among others.
Mary Kay Ash
An enterprenuer born in 1918 and got married at the age of just 17 years. After struggling with her life in early days before and after marriage she decided to launch her own brand. She opened her first 500 sq. ft. store in Dallas. She based the company’s philosophy strongly on her Christian faith. She belived in prioritize life to firstly to God, secondly to family and than to work. Based on this philosphy she encouraged lot of women in their life. Mary Kay has become a famous beauty brand soon in entire United States and is well-known brand now across the globe.
Coco Chanel is the woman behind the famous beauty & fashion brand ‘Chanel’. Coco Chanel originally named as “Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel” was born 1883 in Saumur in a poor family. She adopted name Coco during her career in a cafe and concert singing. She first opened her millinery shop in 1910 in Paris offering just the hats. Soon she started expanding to couture and so to a famous fashion house. In 1922 Chanel introduced the famous Chanel Perfumes. Now Chanel brand is very well known by entire world.
The melody queen of India, Lata Mangeshkar was born in 1928 in Indore, India. She was born in a family of musicians. Who’d have known that with her melodious voice Lata will rule over hearts of millions in future and will set a benchmark for others. Today Lata Mangeshkar is one of the rare woman who has won some precious awards like: ‘Padma Shri’, ‘Filmfare’, ‘Dadasaheb Phalke Award’ and much more. She is also appreared in Guinness Book of World Record as the singer of highest number of songs.
Lata is truely an inspiration for others.
Queen Victoria, one of the rare woman who had opportunity to rule an entire empire successfully. Born in 1837 Victoria was the one who had the power to doubled England in size and to keep it war free too. Later her name became synonyms with an entire era of history and today it is referred as “Victorian Age”.
Queen Victoria has proved that all the women have some real powers in them. They just have to realize it to conquer the world.
